Over the last few weeks we’ve been working on a tool that easily allows digital publishers and news organisations to check how well their sites are performing across desktop and mobile. The Baytree Publisher Performance Index (PPI) is a performance score, based on the Chrome User Experience (CrUX) report. Taking billions of datapoints from real world site visitors using a range of hardware, CrUX provides user experience metrics for how real-world Chrome users experience a site.
Taking the CrUX report as are starting point, we’ve average the key publishers specific metrics to generate mobile & desktop scores for the top 100 publishing sites globally. We’ve then created an overall score that we have used to rank the sites.
